Residents in Summerseat have today completed preparations for the Annual Herbie Christmas Tree lighting.
Summerseat (North Manor Ward) Councillor Liam Dean came down to help members of the Summerseat Village Community after his regular surgery in Hawkshaw to help decorate Herbie this year as Herbie has grown to an impressive height!
Cllr Liam Dean commented:
Viv, Dave, Helen, the boys and I made a great team! Herbie has grown so tall we've needed to pull out all the stops to decorate him!
Using step ladders, brushes and litter pickers we managed to get the lights and the baubles right to the top - Herbie is going to look spectacular at the lighting this evening!
Residents can come down to Summerseat Park this evening at 1800 to join in the annual Herbie lighting, enjoy some mulled wine, hot dogs and sing some fantastic Christmas Carols with the community.
